Marj Ostani (she/they) is a multi-hyphenate storyteller born and raised in Manila, PH: a poet, columnist of Unmasking, editor of Love Letter En Route, and host/producer of Just Checking In. She has worked in the creatives industry for over seven years and holds a degree in Communication Arts. Marj specializes in covering cultural stories around Asia from music, arts, literature, and film. She is a committed advocate for emerging and diverse artists. Marj is always looking for unique voices, evocative narratives, and creatives who are unafraid to take up space.
Her debut collection “Homecoming” highlights love stories she’s witnessed, experienced, and gathered through her mid-twenties while living abroad. Homecoming aims straight to subjects of intimacy, vulnerabilities, chances, yearning, and romance. It follows encounters that were instant, quiet, funny, warm, and safe. It asks the central questions of, “Where is home? When’s the last time you felt at home? Who’s your home?” Our answers might not conquer all but isn’t here a good place to start?
