About Us
"Buy with intent. Be a Conscious consumer."
Kurated Kultura, meaning “culture” in Tagalog, is a Filipina-American–owned, family operated brand based in the San Francisco Bay Area on Muwekma Ohlone Land.
Our Story
Kurated Kultura began during a pivotal time – 2020, the height of the pandemic and the rise of the Black Lives Matter movement. Like many others, our founder began shifting her spending habits to support Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC)-owned businesses. As a Filipina-American mother, she wanted more than just products – she wanted meaningful representation, especially for her young children.
The turning point? Choosing a can of Sanzo, flavored with either mango or lychee. When her kids asked, “What’s a lychee?”, she realized something important: this fruit, once a staple of her own childhood and a nostalgic symbol of her cultural heritage, was unfamiliar to her children. That moment sparked a movement.
From sourcing Filipino-owned brands to becoming the go-to person for sustainable, intentional, and culturally-rooted recommendations, our founder eventually asked: “Why not curate it all in one place?”
So she did – starting with personal self-care kits made for overwhelmed moms like herself. Over time, Kurated Kutlura evolved into a platform that amplifies underrecognized AANHPI brands, prioritizes sustainability, and inspires others to buy with intent.
We have also started to highlight our own products that we've created. We've been sharing art and products from other artists and makers for year, and now we bring to you, Kurated Kiln.

Our Mission
To uplift underrecognized AANHPI creators and offer sustainable, intentional alternatives to everyday goods — empowering people to shop with purpose and celebrate culture daily.
Our Vision
A world where what we buy shows what we care about — culture, sustainability, and caring for others — reminding us that everyday things can be meaningful and mindful.
Our Values
🌱 Sustainability
We reduce waste by reusing packaging and sourcing eco-friendly materials from fellow AANHPI-owned companies like EcoEnclose. We also rescue secondhand packaging from closing businesses, diverting materials from landfills and promoting reuse. Our packaging is made from 100% recycled fibers, with no new trees cut.
🎨 Celebrating Asian Talents
We proudly showcase the work of first- and second-generation AANHPI immigrants, as well as artists and authors from the Philippines, Indonesia, and across Asia — bringing international Asian creativity to light.
🤝🏽 Building Community
We believe in making the world feel smaller and more connected by sharing stories, rituals, and traditions that inspire belonging and bridge cultures.
🌍 Environmental Responsibility
Through our Road to Zer0 Waste initiative, we commit to reducing carbon emissions, waste, and inefficiencies in every aspect of our operations.
💛 Giving Back
A portion of proceeds from our curated items go directly to mutual aid efforts such as (Kapwa Kultural Center, Maui Humane Society, Gaza Gofundme, Muwekma Ohlone Preservation Foundations)
