end of year musings

end of year musings

As I lay here while my little one naps, I’ve been overcome with a sense of being grateful.

it’s interesting. It’s in these times of silence and half-asleep stupor I find my biggest inspiration.

reflecting on this past year, so much growth, so many connections, so much abundance.

and our greatest adventure is yet to come: worldschooling our littles.

travel has always been an important part of mine and my husband’s lives. From connecting to our culture in the Philippines, to experiencing new cultures and traditions. We told ourselves having kids, we wouldn’t allow ourselves to not travel. That travel is our favorite form of education. And having kids wouldn’t stop us from traveling.

After I finished graduating college, my first holiday break post tax season, my husband and I found a travel deal to go to Europe. We couldn’t decide SO WE FLIPPED A COIN. Magic. So we went!

with my expertise of travel hacking and points gathering, we’ve enabled this upcoming trip to be at a reduced cost due to points.

I was able to combine credit cards bonuses and airline points to purchase our flights to Asia for $12.20. (FOR ALL 4 OF US). More on that in another post. Or feel free to comment and ask questions. Or you can book a travel consult here.

and it’s in this excitement for this trip that I am feeling grateful and privileged to be able to do this with my family.

from first of all our whole family getting accepted into the world schooling program! When I first learned of the program I created a vision board.

I printed it and plastered it in multiple locations of our apartment. My older one asked what it was for and I excitedly said we’re applying for a program where we get to go to school and work in a different country.

They asked if they’d be able to go to school on the beach (like one of the program photos I printed) and I said YES!

what a gift! Backed by my ancestors, I’m so excited to be able to give this to them.

I’ll be sharing more on an Instagram live with Adrienne from Raising Ancestors, Monday, December 2, 12pm. More info:

I am part of Adrienne’s Raising Liberated Kids parenting/caregiving decolonizing community and she’s asked me to join her for a 3 part series of worldschooling (before, during, after).
