At Kurated Kultura, we are always drawn to businesses that feel deeply personal, those rooted in care, creativity, and culture. Wagboards, founded by Amanda Yu-Nguyen, is one such story. What may look like a beautifully curated charcuterie board for dogs is, in reality, something much more intentional: a reflection of identity, love, and the joy of celebrating our pups as family.
Wagboards was born from Amanda’s love of dogs, food, and creating meaningful moments. Inspired by the artistry of human charcuterie boards, she reimagined the concept for dogs because dogs deserve fancy snacks, too. However, beyond the playful idea lies a business founded on trust, safety, and thoughtful creation.

Reimagining Celebration for Our Dogs
Each Wagboard is carefully curated using high-quality, dog-safe ingredients such as single-ingredient novel proteins and limited-ingredient cookies. Every board is designed with balance in mind. Taste, texture, and visual appeal all work together to create an experience, not just a treat.
Amanda’s approach reflects the same level of care we give to our own loved ones. Transparency and safety are central to Wagboards, and whenever possible, ingredients are sourced from fellow small businesses. This commitment builds not only better products, but stronger relationships and a more supportive creative ecosystem.
What began as a simple idea has grown into a community centered around trust and shared joy, one that recognizes dogs not as pets but as cherished family members.

Sustainability as a Practice, Not a Trend
Wagboards also prioritizes sustainability in ways that feel intentional rather than performative. Each Board is built on palm leaf platters, a more sustainable alternative to traditional paper or cardboard bases. When packaging orders, Amanda reuses filler materials from other shipments to reduce unnecessary waste.
These small, mindful choices reflect a larger philosophy: doing what you can, where you can, with care. It is a reminder that sustainability can be woven into everyday practices without losing beauty or quality.
Honoring Culture Through Creation
One of the most meaningful aspects of Wagboards is how Amanda weaves her cultural identity into her work. During Lunar New Year, she offers a Doggy Dim Sum Steamer, a playful yet intentional nod to her Chinese roots. It is a celebration that honors tradition while inviting dogs and their humans into the moment together.
Amada’s work shows how identity can be a source of inspiration rather than something to separate from business. Culture becomes something lived, shared, and joyful, reimagined.
More Than Treats, A Shared Experience
At its core, Wagboards is about connection. Each board represents a moment, whether birthdays, holidays, or simple acts of love between people and their dogs. These are the moments that become memories, the ones that remind us why celebrating even the small things matters.
Wagboards is not just about what dogs eat. It is about how they show love, how they honor care, and how creativity can bring people, cultures, and communities together.

At Kurated Kultura, we are proud to spotlight Wagboards, a women-owned small business that leads with intention, honors identity, and creates joy boards at a time.
